The seeds of this journey were planted years ago, back in my post-graduation days at KEM Hospital, Mumbai. Surrounded by brilliant minds and patients whose stories deeply moved me, I often imagined a future where research and development were not just academic pursuits, but powerful tools to bring real change to people’s lives. I dreamed of being part of something that would take a scientific idea, nurture it through rigorous research, and see it emerge as a therapy offering hope to those who needed it most.
That dream first began to take shape during my stint at Serum Institute of India, where I had the privilege of being part of a team that saw, firsthand, how clinical development can transform lives on a massive scale. I witnessed the Men A vaccine bring relief to millions in Sub-Saharan Africa, changing the trajectory of meningitis in the region. I also experienced the extraordinary achievement of developing and introducing the H1N1 vaccine within just 12 months—a feat that helped curb the spread of the disease and demonstrated the power of science driven by urgency and purpose.
My passion for drug development was further strengthened during my time at Glenmark, where I was deeply inspired by the vision of Glen Saldanha. His relentless drive to bring new molecules to market, and his commitment to advancing science in ways that directly impact patients, left a lasting impression on me. It reinforced my belief that innovation in medicine is not just about discovery—it’s about courage, leadership, and the willingness to challenge boundaries to make a difference.
Today, all those experiences converge in the form of our oncology-focused Medical Research Organisation – Med Indite Communications (MIC). It’s more than an organisation—it’s the realization of a vision that began in the wards and labs of KEM and was sharpened through years in the pharmaceutical and vaccine industry. Alongside my co- founder, Dr. Mohini, whose medical expertise and passion for innovation mirror my own, we have built a space where science meets strategy, and where the medical mind leads the way in research, development, and innovation. At MIC, we are handholding biotech and pharma companies in the development of new molecules, novel vaccines, biosimilars, and cutting- edge gene therapies, guiding them through the entire clinical development process—taking their innovations from the bench to the bedside.
Our work is deeply collaborative. From early-stage strategy and clinical planning to navigating complex regulatory landscapes and preparing for market readiness, we walk with our partners every step of the way. Each project is a unique story- filled with challenges, decisions, and breakthroughs-and we treat them with the same dedication and precision that first drew me to medical research. Looking back, I see a clear thread connecting the young postgraduate at KEM Hospital, the vaccine development team member at Serum Institute, the inspired professional at Glenmark, and the entrepreneur I am today. At MIC, we aren’t simply conducting research-we are shaping the future of oncology treatments, translating ideas into therapies, and turning dreams from the lab into life-changing realities for patients worldwide.
