Born in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra, Rohini comes from a humble family background. Her father, a government officer with a determined spirit and a hidden artistic side as a singer, and her mother’s emotional sensitivity and artistic sensibility shaped Rohini’s unique personality. This blend of discipline and creativity laid the foundation for her artistic vision.
Rohini was a national-level Kho-Kho player, with a strong passion for chess and badminton. Her love for sports continues even today as a mother of two, shaping her never-give-up attitude and fighting spirit that helps her overcome challenges.
After working happily as an architect for over a decade, Rohini’s deep-rooted love for art and the camera led her to pursue photography at the age of 34. Starting with small family shoots, she soon expanded into fashion and modelling, collaborating with prestigious brands like Tanishq.
Her proudest moment came when her fashion photoshoot was featured on the cover page of Vigour Magazine in Canada. Over the years, she has worked with both Marathi and Bollywood film stars, and continues to explore architectural photography as a fusion of her past and present passions.
At 38, Rohini pursued a course in cinematography, inspired by her love for cinema and storytelling. Her journey reflects her relentless drive to grow, learn, and evolve.
“I believe there’s a long way to go. I’m just taking baby steps,” says Rohini with humility. She dreams of creating at least one timeless piece of work that future generations will remember. One thing is certain: her love for the camera will remain until her very last breath.
